On July 1, the China Council for The Promotion of International Trade Zhejiang Provincial Committee (CCPIT Zhejiang) and Romanian Investment and Trade Agency co-hosted the China (Zhejiang) -Romania Trade and Investment Fair in Bucharest. Ambassador Han Chunlin, Executive Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province, Xu Wenguang, State Secretary, Ministry of the Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism of Romania, Mr Lucian-Ioan RUS, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, Mihai Daraban, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Zhejiang, Mr. Lin Wei and the delegation attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
At the meeting, CCPIT Zhejiang and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania renewed the Memorandum of Cooperation. Cooperation agreements worth 710 million yuan were inked by three companies, including Fuerda Smartech Romania subsidiary of Ningbo Fuerda Smartech Co., Ltd., with Romanian partners.
During this period, Executive Vice Governor Xu Wenguang led the provincial delegation to investigate and inspect the Fuerda Romania factory located in Brasov, to understand in detail the current situation of Chinese enterprises’ overseas business development and the difficulties, and to encourage Chinese enterprises to implement new development concepts, focus on their own advantages, actively deepen exchanges and cooperation with Central and Eastern European countries, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. During these activities, he was accompanied by Weng Weifeng, chairman of Ningbo Fuerda Smartech, Yang Donghua, deputy general manager of the company and regional general manager Europe and America, and Chen Zhong, chief financial officer of overseas.
Fuerda Smartech Romania subsidiary of Ningbo Fuerda Smartech Co., Ltd. has been registered in September 2021 with a total investment of 35 million euros. In January 2024, it officially entered the new plant, and will complete trial production in the fourth quarter of this year. In 2025, it will fully realize regional supply for European Volkswagen, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis and other automobile companies. It is estimated that by 2027, the sales revenue of the Romanian factory will exceed 52 million euros.
