On February 18th there was a grand opening ceremony of the new production building located inside existing polish SANHUA AWECO factory in Tychy. It is a part of SANHUA strategic development plan to expand overseas automotive business by launching new products in polish factory. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place inside of new main entrance, with the participation of Gerhard Teschl (General Manager SANHUA AWECO); Dariusz Krzeminski (Head of HR/Admin/Legal SANHUA EMEA & SANHUA AWECO Global); Grzegorz Gonet (General Manager SANHUA AWECO Tychy) and Robert Krupa (Plant Manager SANHUA Automotive Tychy) and especially other members of SANHUA Tychy plant’s team.
An event was held as a part of Obey meeting kick-off, which is a tool to launch the production on time. There was a speech of Marcin Michalik (Project Manager), who introduced all attendants to the new facility. After ribbon-cutting Mateusz Borkowski (Process and Product Engineer) introduced product and process to the guests and team members. Afterwards Robert Krupa took the lead of the meeting and presented two production lines of TXV and EXV as well as all other parts of new production area. The ceremony was a celebration of a big milestone reached by SANHUA AWECO Tychy team. After some months of hard work, it was a great opportunity to its results to the management who has appreciated the great job done.
The 1000 m2 building is placed inside Tychy SANHUA AWECO factory and it is designated to accommodate 4 production lines and launch production of TXV, EXV (in first phase) and Chiller assembly in second stage.
The new facility is fully equipped and ready to provide a clean production of strategic SANHUA products such as Expansion Valves. It contains autonomous ventilation system that allows to keep clean environment inside the building and Anti-Static floor to meet strict requirements of European Automotive Customers. The first Start Of Production is planned for EXV product for the customer Modine in May 2019. By the end of 2019 there is a plan to launch production for such customers as Daimler, Volkswagen, Volvo , Valeo, and Mahle.
The project started in March 2018 and was complex and demanding from logistics point of view and demanding deadlines. One of the key tasks was to release a 1000 square meter place in current SANHUA AWECO plant production area which was fully occupied by production lines. The operation included full re-layout of the whole factory, machines’ transfers, modifications and as well new warehouse building rental and definition of the new logistics flows.
The most demanding task from management and engineering point of view was to coinate all external companies in er to finish the building on time and accing to technical specification.
As an SANHUA Automotive Tychy team member I am very thankful to SANHUA Holding Group that I can play role in such an important market expansion plan. I will put all my efforts to make a success in new launches and further expansion of automotive business in Tychy.
