Digital Intelligence is Applied All over the World—Sanhua’s Digital Transformation Helps Improve Efficiency

The establishment and optimization of Devops platform improves the ability of software development management from the source, and ensures the quality and efficiency of software development, testing, deployment, operation and maintenance. The North American WMS project, through upgrading the original WMS system, has realized the launch of the self-developed WMS system overseas for the first time, providing a good start for the digital construction of overseas warehouse management.

In addition, M365 Copilot has emerged as a new force, improving office efficiency and collaboration capabilities. Through the exploration of intelligent applications, it has brought about the improvement of work efficiency by increasing new productivity. 01 DevOps Automation Platform Construction

As an important part of digital reform, to improve the problems of iteration and development of the original self-developed software system, and improve the efficiency and quality of software delivery, Sanhua introduced DevOps automation platform tools, which defined the standard specifications for DevOps of Sanhua.

To encourage communication and collaboration between developers and system testing, delivery, operation and maintenance personnel, DevOps automation platform and tool chain construction are adopted to break the barriers between traditional development and operation and maintenance and realize the close collaboration and integration of these two parts. The platform covers the whole process from development (Dev) to testing and then to operation and maintenance (Ops). With the help of the tool chain, each team can reduce time loss and work together more efficiently. At the same time, DevOps platform can effectively help managers at all levels to monitor the anomalies of self-developed software in various environments (testing, pre-release and production), and improve the quality and stability of software delivery.

At present, DevOps platform includes software planning, compilation and construction, software deployment and release, and software testing functions. Director Xu, the project leader, said that at present, the DevOps automation platform of Sanhua is in the initial “Zero to One” stage, focusing on delivery and software quality in the early stage, using the open-source DevOps platform, through unit testing, automatic code review, interface automation and UI automation processes, strictly controlling the quality and function. Starting from the test environment, the program gradually improves the success rate of pre-release and production environment release, and eventually reach more than 90%.

02 North American WMS System Project

According to the overall planning goal of Sanhua North America ERP, the assessment for demand of North America WMS system, such as multi-language, personalized management, InforLN interface, the current domestic PES1.0 product WMS system can not meet the demand, so the company set up a WMS1.5 project team. This project team is in charge of promoting the development and implementation of WMS1.5 by matching the overall goals and progress of ERP. It also solved many technical difficulties in a short time, launched WMS 1.5 products, and promoted the sorting out and construction of business plans at home and abroad.

According to Director Wang, the project leader, the WMS project was officially launched on January 1, 2024. Through the implementation of the WMS project in North America, the improvement of the company’s management is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

(1) Operation Standardization, Operation Efficiency and Personnel Management

Connected with Infor LN, the handheld terminal is used to scan and receive goods, which is more efficient than the traditional receiving method and reduces the error rate on the shelf. The North American WMS system is connected with domestic WMS, SRM and other systems to reuse case code and traceability of each batch.

(2) Positioning

The management fineness is refined from the original tray to the box, and the system supports the use of handheld terminals for real-time inventory query, making it possible for managers to check the inventory in real time.

(3) First-In-First-Out

After the wave picking and outbound function is used, the processing speed of outbound information is improved, and the handheld terminal is used to load and scan the outbound goods, so that the matching rate between the waybill data and the actual data is improved.

(4) Scanning Inventory Technology in Handheld Terminal

Shorten the time of inventory counting, support annual/monthly counting and various cycle counting methods, improve the accuracy of counting, and further promote the consistency of accounts and materials.

It is reported that since the implementation of the WMS project in North America, it has provided a good start for the digital construction of overseas warehousing management, which has far-reaching significance for the internationalization strategy of Sanhua. Also, it is of great importance for the realization of domestic and international management and control, and the building of core competitiveness. At the same time, the successful implementation of the project also represents a milestone. For the first time, the system independently developed by Sanhua is applied in overseas industry park, which is the verification of the blueprint of Sanhua’s information system management.

03 M365 Copilot Project

The M365 Copilot project aims to comprehensively improve the operational efficiency of each link through technology empowerment, reduce repetitive work, enhance efficiency of each link, and improve the office efficiency and collaboration ability of Sanhua. It is reported that the main scenarios of M365 Copilot are: PPT, Word, artificial intelligent chat, Excel, Teams meeting, Outlook mailbox and other applications in office work. Up to now, M365 Copilot has more than 300 users after the launch of this program. Sanhua has initially launched the application of Copilot, and will continue to explore and deepen the application of M365 Copilot in the future.
